We also visit Australia’s leading distillery Archie Rose and some of Sydney’s best small breweries. That’s right, in the middle of Sydney are two cellar doors belonging to award winning Boutique Wineries. They’re fast becoming iconic destinations for wine lovers from across the city who want to enjoy their exciting range of wines without going to the Hunter Valley, which is over 3 hours away.

We visit Urban Winery, Australia’s first, large-scale working, city wine producer. Urban Winery grapes are taken from some of New South Wales’ leading vineyards, while all the wines are made in house, right by where your cellar door tasting experience will take place.

Residing in an old-brick warehouse that was once the home of Carlton and United Breweries, we also visit Handpicked Cellar Door. They ‘handpick’ the wine regions and grape varieties from around Australia and showcase them all in one building in the heart of Sydney. Here you’ll enjoy a wine tasting guided by an expert sommelier surrounded by wine tanks.

Break up the day by visiting one of Sydney’s most-renowned distilleries. Learn firsthand how they produce their vodka, gins and whiskies followed by a guided tasting of all four of their core spirits.

When Archie Rose first opened their doors in 2015, they were the first distillery in Sydney in over 160 years. Since then they’ve won plenty of awards and accolades both across Australia and internationally, showing the world what Sydney can do. With their distilling equipment nearby, the Archie Rose bar is the perfect place to work your way through their spirits and learn what makes them so special. For those more interested in trying those sprits mixed with something else, Archie Rose also offer a wide range of cocktails which can be purchased at the bar.

This Tour runs daily – 9.25am to 5.15pm approx.

This winery bus tour is max 11 people to ensure a small group environment for a relaxed day out.
